Eden Area ROP

Eden Area Regional Occupational Program, also know as ROP, is a public education service that provides practical, hands-on career preparation and career guidance to students. ROP is designed to provide students with the technical skills required for various jobs. It offers community-based internships in local business and industry sites. Its courses provide a unit on employment seeking skill that includes preparation of interviews, and assistance in writing job application and resume. ROP is a part of the California public education system that provides technical job training for high school juniors, seniors and adults. It prepares students to obtain jobs to support the costs of college and promotes further advanced education in particular career areas. The program is approved by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It is a joint venture of the Castro Valley, Hayward, San Leandro and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts. Eden Area Regional Occupational Program operates from Hayward, Calif.
