Ayn Rand Institute is a nonprofit organization. Its division, the Ayn Rand Center, is a public agency that supports the distribution of free copies of Ayn Rand s novels and teaching guides to high schools. The center offers a leadership development program for various business executives. Ayn Rand Institute has donated more than 1 million copies of novels to over 30,000 teachers in the United States and Canada. It also sponsors high school essay contests for individuals annually. The organization s Objectivist Academic Center offers courses based on Ayn Rand s pro-capitalist philosophy to undergraduate and graduate students from nearly 50 colleges and universities throughout the U.S. In addition, it operates several student clubs.
