Hiked this area over 37yrs ago. I recall an island being on this lake. Because I had to put air in my raft to get to it. The lake was loaded with German browns and they would not eat salmon eggs...

Don't be fooled by the 3.2 mile distance to the lake. It's pretty steep and challenging, but worth it!
