History

Dynamics Performance Team (DPT) was founded in 2005 by Charles Solmon with the help of his mentor and accomplished studio owner, Joy Sinnott. He co-directed DPT with his co-director, Sara Wardell, for 12 successful seasons. Charles Solomon is the current Creative Director and Danielle de Ojeda is the current Artistic Director of DPT for its exciting 16th season!

Specialties

Dynamics Performance Team - celebrating its 16th season - specializes in training versatile dancers. Dynamics focuses primarily on jazz, contemporary, and lyrical, but often expands to other styles like hip hop, tap, musical theater, and ballet. Dynamics is passionate about facilitating a dancer's growth both artistically and technically by working with professional, certified staff and exposing dancers to a variety of dance experiences. The company has three teams under the Dynamics umbrella: Dynamites ages 5 to 7, Dynamos ages 8 to 11, and Dynamics ages 12 to 18+. Dancers have the opportunity to dance in large and small groups, trios, duets, and solos. Dancers attend multiple competitions and conventions throughout the year, and perform at community events such as Santana Row Tree Lighting and various festivals! The team also has its own annual show, and is proud to showcase its talented dancers each season. Dynamics is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization not affilated with any one dance studio. The company auditions dancers from around the area and each dancer is given equal opportunity regardless of the studio they attend. They hold open auditions and cast the team based solely on the dancer's age and skill level.
