Star Tower at California's Great America is an iconic 200-foot observation tower that offers guests a breathtaking overhead view of the entire park. Situated inside Gold Striker’s initial descent, it stands as the tallest observation tower in Northern California.

The tower features a slowly ascending observation deck that stops at the top, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of Great America’s entrance, Gold Striker’s trains in action, the surrounding hills, and even San Francisco on clear days. Originally painted red, Star Tower changed to its famous blue hue over the years.

Since its opening in 1979, Star Tower has been a favorite for guests of all ages due to its gentle ascent, making it a perfect experience for families, including grandparents and grandchildren. With a height requirement of 46” or accompanied by a supervising companion, it offers a serene and memorable ride for all who visit.
