MFDB ARCHITECTS, INC Established by Ron Madsen and Jim Flathmann in 1974, MFDB Architects, Inc offers a full spectrum of architectural services covering a diverse range of private and public sector experience. Recognized as one of the top ten architectural firms in the Sacramento region, the current staff consists of fifteen total personnel, including five registered architects. The firm maintains on-going assignments for large and small clients in the commercial market as well as the Federal Government, the State of California and various Northern California cities and counties. Principals Dan Dameron and Tyler Babcock took full ownership of the firm in 1999 and built upon the strong fundamentals and commitment to quality established by Ron and Jim to make MFDB Architects, Inc a respected design oriented leader in the architectural community. Principal Randy Dawson joined MFDB in 1986 and assists Dan & Tyler in managing projects and staff. Senior Designer W.David Thomas joined MFDB in 1985 and provides design guidance and experience to every project we work on. In October 2005, we moved into our current home at 111 Scripps, an existing nurses training facility that we completely renovated into an open, clean, beautifully daylit, and efficient workspace. The design and construction of the project was guided and inspired by the sustainable principles of the United States Green Building Council's LEED ( Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ) program.
