History

My private practice was created here in Santa Barbara in 2011 and has grown over the years. Before my practice was created, I did counseling for a variety of places, including Hospice, Family Service Agency at La Cumbre Jr.High, and Community Action Commission. I ventured off on my own and I am now conveniently located down town. My office is tucked away upstairs in the beautiful San Marcos Building and quietly off to the side to the building. I have enjoyed building a safe and empathetic place to come talk to me about your life.

I provide a personal, confidential, and a unique counseling experience. I will help you explore what is overwhelming or creating distress in your quality of life. Pre-marital counseling- Helping the couple plan and prepare for a life long marital commitment. While addressing the stresses of the upcoming nuptials, we work on skills to communicate better, fight fairly, compromise, and help pin point issues of disagreement and highlight strengths. Life Transitions, A lot of anxiety and depression can go hand in hand with life transitions, I help you find ways to manage and decrease this. I love my work with all ages of adults, helping to figure out how to manage, balance, and successfully transition through life stages and events. Millennials- I have had extensive years of experience with this age group; communication, relationship issues, work pressures, self-esteem, anger management, and more. Burnout- Whether you are burning out from your career or education, my work in this area focuses on reducing the high burnout rate seen in Santa Barbara. Learning concrete ways to better care for yourself and where you are going, to better get there. EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy.
