Dr. JJ Koval, DDS

At New Garden Dental, Dr. JJ Koval and his team have a vision for work that stems back to the Garden of Eden, where mankind was commissioned to do good work for the purpose of human flourishing. Dr. JJ recognizes that our modern experience of entrepreneurship, healthcare, and work, in general, is often far from that original design. The New Garden Dental mission is that every patient who walks through the doors immediately experiences something different - a “Family Practice with Purpose.” New Garden Dental patients can expect dentistry that is trustworthy and transparent, that values people over production, and that values quality over quantity. And more than that, patients get to directly partake in the NGD mission to do good in the community as a portion of every dollar earned goes directly to providing free dental care to our local neighbors who find themselves in a time of need. Dr. JJ is not only on a mission to do good, but also to excel in providing the highest quality care he can provide. After graduating with his Bachelor’s in Human Biology from Stanford University, Dr. JJ attended Creighton Dental School where he graduated Top 10 in his class. After dental school, Dr. JJ underwent an additional year of hands-on education and training at the Tibor Rubin Veterans Hospital where he received extensive experience providing care to complex patients and placing dental implants. He then went on to work as an associate for one of Orange County’s top Invisalign providers and has invested in extensive continued education to further his Invisalign expertise. He has also invested heavily in several of the newest dental technologies to practice at the highest level of quality and innovation. Dr. JJ goes above and beyond to treat every patient the way he would treat himself. He excels in the areas of patient education and individualizing treatment options. He sincerely cares about establishing a partnership with each patient where they feel they can make informed decisions and become advocates of their own dental care. As a resident of Ladera Ranch, it was important to Dr. JJ to plant his first practice near his own community. He also cares that patients feel at ease immediately upon walking through the practice doors. The unique personal touches and garden-themed design mixed with the modern color scheme and advanced diagnostic equipment, including a 3D Cone Beam CT, strike the perfect balance making the six-operatory practice feel both warm and state-of-the-art.
