Dr. Jordan Virbalas, MD, FAAP is a pediatric otolaryngologist and the Director of the Aerodigestive Clinic at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Benioff Children's Hospitals in Walnut Creek, CA. With a special interest in evaluating and improving children's airways and ability to swallow, Dr. Virbalas provides comprehensive care for patients with disorders of the head and face, such as cleft lip, cleft palate, and microtia. He also performs surgeries to address complex airway, speech, and hearing problems associated with these conditions. As an Assistant Professor at UCSF, Dr. Virbalas collaborates with the pulmonary, gastroenterology, and speech therapy departments to help children with complex breathing and swallowing disorders. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and American Academy of Pediatrics.
