HistoryFor the past fifty years, my life has been devoted to facilitating both personal change and transformation as well as societal change and social justice. I love the psychotherapy work I do. In my twenties, I spent three years with the first wave of Peace Corps volunteers teaching history in Ethiopia and in 1967 received a M.A. degree in African history from Howard University. In 1969 I played a pioneering role in the creation of the Gay Liberation movement and in 1971 co-founded (with Morris Kight) what is today called the LGBT Center and the Van Ness Recovery House in Los Angeles. I also co-founded (with Harry Hay) the Radical Faeries, an international gay spirituality and consciousness movement. I am a simple person living a simple lifestyle. My private practice is like Noah's Ark--everyone is represented. Creative people of all varieties find our sessions useful.
