Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) is a non-profit organization of 198 communities in 29 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.RHF provides housing and services to more than 22,500 older adults, low-income families, and persons with disabilities.The RHF logo symbolizes a program that has grown from the very modest beginnings of a $7,000 investment. With this investment, combined with the efforts of three United Church of Christ (UCC) visionaries, RHF has grown to be one of the largest organizations devoted to building and preserving affordable housing for the most vulnerable members of society.

The Recreation and Community Services Department aims to enrich and improve the quality of life in Redondo Beach by providing various programs, services and facilities. Recreational programs include classes, camps, adult sports leagues, afeter school and summer playgrounds, summer swim and performing arts for the disabled, teens and senior citizens. The Department manages 14 parks in the city (Alta Vista, Anderson, Andrews, Aviation, Czuleger, Dominguez, Franklin, Fluton Playfield, Lilenthal, Perry, Seaside Lagoon, Veterans, Vincent, Hopkins Wilderness) and community facilities including, the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, Knob Hill Community Center, Historical Museum and the Veterans Park Community Center. The Department also admnistrates federal and state grants that fund housing services, job training and placement services, counseling for youth and parenting classes and hosts Redondo Beach Farmers Market every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Veterans Park. The Recreation and Parks Commission meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
