Domestic Violence Solutions aims to prevent domestic violence by providing various programs and intervention services. It offers a special shelter program for women and children, where they receive emotional support, food, clothing, goal planning assistance, advocacy for medical, legal and financial resources, and information and referrals. The agency provides a 12 to 24 week anger management program to both voluntary and court-mandated individuals who struggle with the issue of controlling anger. Domestic Violence Solutions also offers corporate human resources programs, academic classes, and professional skills improvement programs, along with its active role in community education. It operates 24-hour help lines in Santa Maria, Lompoc and Santa Ynez counties in California, to provide counseling, information, referrals and access to immediate shelter.
