Discovery of Learning - Fullerton

History

Discovery of Learning was founded by Amy McCamly after a search for alternative educational options for her daughters came up empty. Amy started taking classes in early childhood and working at preschools at the age of 17. Since receiving her degree in Early Childhood Education, she has spent over 20 years working with children. Though she never thought she would homeschool, Amy knew that traditional school would not work for her family. After trying local multi-age programs to trying to start a charter school, Amy and her husband, Ty, ultimately decided to take her passion for children and education to create Discovery of Learning: a program not just for her children, but for other families like hers who wanted an alternative to traditional schools but, for whatever reason, couldn't see themselves homeschooling on their own. Through Discovery of Learning, Amy and Ty are helping to build a community for homeschooling families throughout Orange County.

Discovery of Learning is a multi-age learning center with a child-centered, developmental, project-based, hands-on approach. We have classes to fit all ages, from preschool to junior high - all with family, community feel. You won't find any other homeschool program like it!
