1900 Adams Ave
Costa Mesa, CA 92626

The Diego Sepulveda Adobe, nestled in Estancia Park in Costa Mesa, tells the rich history of the region spanning almost two centuries. Open on select Saturdays each month, this small adobe holds relics dating back to the era of Native American settlement and Spanish missions. As visitors explore the rooms representing different historical periods, they are transported through the Indian, Mission, Spanish, and Victorian eras that shaped Southern California.

Originally serving as shelter for cattle herdsmen, the adobe went through various transitions before being restored by the Segerstrom family in 1963. Today, the Costa Mesa Historical Society meticulously furnishes each room to reflect a specific period in California's past. From the kitchen of the mission/rancho era to the Victorian-styled bedroom, the adobe offers a glimpse into the diverse cultural influences that have shaped the region.

Hosting public events and an annual open house, the Diego Sepulveda Adobe invites the community to engage with its history. Visitors can immerse themselves in the stories of the past and appreciate the efforts of the Costa Mesa Historical Society in preserving the legacy of Southern California. Whether exploring artifacts from Native American tribes or admiring Victorian-era furnishings, a visit to this adobe is a journey through time.
