Desert Sands Charter High School

Desert Sands Charter High School offers a range of educational programs to more than 1,300 students in grades 9 through 12. It employs over 35 staff members that include an academic counselor, psychologist, social worker, nurses, and speech, language and hearing specialists. The school conducts classes in special and physical education. Its syllabus includes foreign languages, English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and music. The school also maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals and provides links to search engines. It organizes parent-teacher meetings that encourage parental involvement in children's education. Desert Sands Charter High School operates a campus in Lancaster, Calif.
