Went in to get a copy of my registration and the lady at the counter said it was not possible I later called the dmv customer support and they told me I should be able to get a copy from said dmv

I was in the Salinas location yesterday since it was close to my doctors office to get a new temporary handicap placard since I have a bad back and sometimes it's hard to walk, sit, stand to long....

They don't even have a person to greet you anymore. First you stand in a long line for the one kiosk available for 100s of people then you wait some more and some more and some more.
