History
I have been teaching piano privately since high school, when I studied with Ruth Stevenson Alling and learned the LoKnoPla approach to teaching piano to beginners. I since have received my BM in Music Education, Piano, and Vocal/Choral studies, and my Master of Arts in Teaching. My wife, Grace Byeon, received her MM in Vocal Performance. I have taught music, piano, choir, band, music theory, and musical theater in private and public school classrooms, and my own studio!
Specialties
I teach the highest quality piano lessons and voice lessons in your home (I come to you). I have a CA teaching credential in music, and I have been teaching private students for many successful years. I have experience with vocal ensembles, choir, musical theater, band, orchestra, guitar, instrumental music, AP music theory, and MTAC exams. I am an active performer, and I play piano for weddings and church services throughout Orange County, CA.
