Decision Medicine is a two-week program designed by the San Joaquin Medical Society to introduce high achieving underprivileged and under-represented students to the field of medicine. Through personal mentoring and site visits to various clinical settings, participants gain unique insights into the daily life of physicians and the healthcare system.
The program includes hands-on activities such as rounding with residents at local hospitals, becoming CPR certified, and engaging in community outreach efforts. Each student is paired with a local physician for one-on-one mentoring, fostering a connection that encourages a future career in medicine while serving the community. Generated from the website
