DeLeon Judo Club, located in Petaluma, CA, was established in January 1970 by founder Jim Santiago Deleon and is now led by Head Instructor Sensei Henry Kaku. With a legacy of producing successful National and International competitors, the club has garnered over 50 top 3 finishes in local and regional tournaments in just 2 1/2 years under Sensei Kaku's leadership.
Emphasizing the physical skills, philosophy, and traditions of Judo, DeLeon Judo Club aims to instill in students the principles of leverage, balance, and utilizing an opponent's strength. Following the teachings of Dr. Jigoro Kano, the martial art's founder, the club welcomes students aged 6 and up to learn the art of Judo and develop both physical and mental agility on the mat.
