Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, established in 1927, features approximately 50 old-growth coast redwoods and eight miles of stunning wild coastline. The park's diverse vegetation includes tanoak, madrone, red alder, and bigleaf maple, with a rich ground cover that supports a variety of species.
Managed cooperatively by the National Park Service and the California Department of Parks and Recreation, this park is part of a larger network that preserves 45 percent of California's remaining old-growth redwood forest. Visitors can explore the park's steep topography, sandy beaches, and unique tidepooling opportunities, while enjoying a range of recreational activities in a breathtaking natural setting.
