Dr. Timothy R. Dooley, M.D.Dr. Dooley is a licensed medical doctor practicing classical homeopathy, sometimes known as constitutional prescribing. He practiced in Oregon as a licensed naturopathic physician from 1978 until his return to conventional medical school in 1985. Dr. Dooley is licensed and practices in California as a medical doctor (MD). Under his medical license Dr. Dooley can provide all the services of natural medicine as well as many services that naturopathic physicians can not provide.When Dr. Dooley started his practice in California in 1992 there was no license for naturopathic physicians and Dr. Dooley used the initials "ND" as well as "MD" to convey his full training to his patients.In recent years, licensing for naturopathic physicians has been implemented. Because Dr. Dooley is not licensed as a naturopathic physician, he has been informed he is now prohibited from using the initials "ND" in his practice. The use of the "ND" initials on Dr. Dooley's book presents his academic background for the international audience and is not representative of his California medical practice.
