Dr. Amato has always been fascinated by the science of Medicine and the way the human body exists and functions in nature. He discovered Alternative and Natural Medicine at an early age through family and friends and began his journey into the healing practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

He earned the honor of Summa Cum Laude among his graduating class. Dr. Amato has also completed a Doctorate degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (D.A.O.M.) at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. His specialties include Pain Management , Neurology, Women's Health and Fertility. Dr. Amato also received extensive training in Orthopedics, Gynecology, Dermatology and Oncology in this extensive program. Dr. Amato has completed additional courses in Chinese Nutrition, Tui-na Body and Joint Manipulation, Advanced Deep Tissue Release, Japanese Shiatsu therapy and Medical Qi Gong. Dr. Amato combines the best aspects of all these modalities with Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion and Chinese Herbal Medicine to achieve the best results for his patients in clinical practice. This method of healing is versatile and highly effective as a complement to western medicine in helping patients feel relief of their symptoms and resolution of their conditions.
