History

Founded in 2001 Dancing Shiva is the original center in the west to bring Yoga and Ayurveda together. Based on sacred Raja Yoga of Patanjali and combined with Ayurvedic principles it adheres to a integral approach to practice and healing. Dancing Shiva is focused on promoting a system of internal balance, integration and development of a higher awareness born out of an eternal tradition. It is well known for its spiritual and physical balance and also for the 200 hour certification program that has been the most successful lifestyle and teacher training course in America today.

Dancing Shiva Yoga and Ayurveda is the home of an original style of yoga based on authentic Yogic and Ayurvedic principles and is the first center in the west to offer a complete curriculum aimed at achieving a balance of the Ayurvedic science of tri-dosha. Dancing Shiva also offers an array of Ayurvedic therapies and specializes in Pancha Karma (detoxification programs) treatments. The organization also facilitates many certification programs, workshops, lectures at various affiliated locations in LA and Ventura to practice, study, intern and experience yoga and ayurveda first hand.
