Founded in 1972, Curry Senior Center provides medical treatment, counseling and meals to low income and frail senior citizens. Located in San Francisco, Calif., it offers primary care at its medical clinic and through home visits to clients, substance abuse counseling, as well as social and educational opportunities. The center provides services through contracts with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and its division of Community Behavioral Health Services. Additionally, Curry Senior Center offers translation services and outreach to new immigrants, and English and citizenship classes for seniors.
