Creating Modern Music

History

I grew up with piano lessons from a young age and eventually added in drum lessons. During my sophomore year of high school, I was accepted into San Diego State University's music and drumline program. Unable to participate alongside my peers at my own school's music program, the natural alternative was for me to step in and start passing on what I was learning at SDSU. Before long, I was coordinating my school rehearsals and teaching private lessons. When my mom (professional piano teacher for over 10 years) ended up with more students than she could handle alone, she asked me to take on some of her new lessons. Thus began my business, and a swarm of referrals landed me a full schedule of students. I currently teach professionally as a living. Teaching is something I've always enjoyed. I love passing down the gifts of musical understanding that I'm blessed to have been taught. Plus the joy of seeing your kids progress each week has become quite a bonus!

Specialties

I teach private, in-home piano and drum lessons to kids and adults! I excel at working with small children, introducing the concepts of music in a fun and exciting way. My specialty is helping kids develop a deep understanding of music that they will keep for life.
