Community Bikes is a Sonoma County-based activist group that promotes sustainable practices and empowers individuals, groups, and communities to live lightly and efficiently. Through their four programs - Car-Lite, Community Bikes, Living-Lite, and Zero Waste Sonoma County - they focus on DIY knowledge and skill development, education, and outreach to encourage driving less, walking and biking more, consuming less, reusing and recycling, and buying fresh and local.
With the support of various sponsors and donors, including local bike shops and organizations, Community Bikes offers bicycle and part sales, repair clinics, and workshops to help individuals adopt eco-friendly lifestyles and develop sustainable skills.
