The Work World concept was founded in Canada in 1978. Dedicated to serving the work and casual clothing needs of all working people. In May 1990, the first United States Work World store was opened in Fairfield, California, as a test store. Over the next two years the U.S. concept was refined and a second store was opened in Santa Rosa (Coddingtown Mall ) in 1992. The second store confirmed the profitable results of the Fairfield store.
