Color of Music

History

The Color of Music was founded in 2005 while Renee Peralta was a student of the prestigious Berklee College of Music. She has since taught hundreds of students and thousands of piano lessons, always working hard to bring out the best in each student with customized plans for each of them. She continues to teach, write, and perform on a regular basis, while growing the Color of Music Studio family of teachers in the Los Angeles area.

Specialties

We offer music lessons both at your home or in our studio, designed specifically with your interests in mind. We have lessons available for the following instruments: Piano, Voice, Guitar, Drums, Violin, Viola, Cello, Contrabass, Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute, Oud, Ney & Cumbus Additional Lessons Available: Music Theory, Songwriting, Ear Training, Artist Development, Music Production We teach and value ALL styles ranging from Classical, Jazz, Pop, R&B, Rock, Hip/Hop, etc. We work hard to find the best teachers for our students. Each teacher goes through an extensive background check and interview process in which we thoroughly vet them to ensure that they able to teach a wide variety of styles in order to accommodate our client's needs. This is especially important for younger students, allowing our teachers to find songs and styles that will motivate them towards a lifelong journey enjoying their instrument. We have hand-picked compassionate and patient teachers who able to break down the most complex of topics into simple explanations, so even those struggling with ADHD are able to follow. Our emphasis on psychological and motivational factors make us different than other schools, and allows us to instill a life-long love of music in our students.
