History
Lauren took her first photography class at summer camp when she was 14 and fell in love with it instantly. Growing up in New York City, she would spend whole mornings wandering Central Park with camera in hand. She began her career in earnest right after high school, documenting the NYC music scene. After moving to the Bay Area in 1996, she devoted herself to photography full time, earning a BFA from California College of the Arts and eventually opening her own studio in 2004. She is continually amazed and grateful for the way in which Cohn Frankel Photography has made it possible for her to both support her family and follow her life's passion.
