Alpha Cindy Avitia High School is a small, tuition-free community school located in San Jose, CA. Led by Principal Emma Karpowicz and a dedicated team of teachers, the school prepares students for college by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and self-discipline needed to succeed. Alpha Cindy Avitia also supports families throughout the college process to ensure students successfully apply to, enroll in, and succeed in college. The school is named in honor of Cindy Avitia, the founding Board President of Alpha Public Schools. Cindy, a community activist and immigration attorney, dedicated her life to advocating for the families of East San Jose.
