Club Puertorriqueño de San Francisco, Inc. is the oldest Latina/Latino/Latinx organization in the United States, founded in 1912. Their mission is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage and values of Puerto Rico through various events and activities.

Renowned author Esmeralda Santiago, known for her best-selling novels such as "When I was Puerto Rican" and "Almost A Woman," has recently released her latest work, "Las Madres," which delves into the history of modern Puerto Rico and the remarkable women who shaped it. Additionally, Puerto Rican writer and activist Aurora Levins Morales offers apprenticeships in writing and family history research in Maricao, Puerto Rico.
