Oakland Better Birth Foundation was founded by Doula, Community Activist, Mother, Grandmother and Author Samsarah Morgan. Our focus it to provide services to the Oakland East Bay Community services and opportunities which will reduce the infant and maternal mortality rates in our community! We hold as precious the right of woman to birth with the provider of her choice, be that in a hospital or birthing center or at home! We also wish to provided training and to find those who wish to be trained as traditional birthworkers, as well as to assist financially families desire to contribute to a living wage for birthworkers.
