Clete A. Kushida MD PhD FAASM

Dr. Kristen MacKenzie is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine. Dr. MacKenzie graduated AOA from medical school at UCSF and then completed her anesthesia residency and pain medicine fellowships at Stanford. She works at the Stanford Pain Management Center with specialty interests in chronic pelvic and abdominal pain, as well as peripartum pain. She is the co-director for the Stanford Pelvic Pain Program as well as part of the Stanford Pelvic Health Center for interdisciplinary, multimodal care. She also teaches in the Stanford Medical School as the pain team lead for clinical rotations and serves a Clinical Continuity Clerkship Instructor. Additionally, Dr.

Dr. Fukaya practices Vascular Medicine at the Stanford Vascular Clinics and Advanced Wound Care Center. She received her medical education in Tokyo and completed her medical training both in the US and Japan. She joined Stanford in 2015. Vascular Medicine covers a wide range of vascular disorders including chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, post thrombotic syndrome, peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease, cardiovascular risk evaluation, fibromuscular dysplasia, rare vascular disease, lymphedema, arterial/venous/diabetic ulcers, and wound care. Dr. Fukaya has a special interest in venous disease and started the Stanford Vascular and Vein Clinic in 2016.

Emmanuel Mignot is the Craig Reynolds Professor of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and the Director of the Stanford Center for Narcolepsy. He is recognized as having discovered the cause of narcolepsy. Dr. Mignot was born In Paris, France, and he is a former student of the Ecole Normale Superieure (Ulm, Paris, France). He received his M.D. and Ph.D. (molecular pharmacology) from Paris V and VI University respectively. He practiced medicine and Psychiatry in France for several years before serving as a visiting scholar at the Stanford Sleep Disorders Clinic and Research Center. He joined as faculty and Director of the Center for Narcolepsy in 1993.
