We give God Almighty the glory that Deeper Life Bible Church, in United States of America is an offshoot of this mega-church that was birthed into existence as a result of a massive revival of salvation that began in Lagos in the seventies. Today Deeper Life Bible Church in Nigeria is the third single largest congregation in the world with a population of over 1, 000, 000 congregants in every Sunday morning Service. The Church continues on the same glorious mission of reconciliation by bringing men to the knowledge of the Living God in America. Deeper Life Bible Church is a Third World missionary Church to the sophisticated First World and the church is committed in the strength of the Holy Spirit to bring scriptural holiness and its accompanying blessings to the post Christian people. Deeper Life Bible Church was established and duly registered in United States of America as not-for-profit organization in 1986 under our able leader Pastor Ralph Essien, MD. The Church in United States of America started at an apartment in Harlem. It was later moved to a rented space a YMCA on the 34th Street. From this location the congregation of the Lord's people was moved to 164th Street at Morris Avenue, Bronx. Today the address of the church is at 213E 144th Street, Bronx, New York where the Headquarter of the Church is located. Typical of every new establishment, all were not rosy at the beginning. Our initial problems include locating reliable membership that are committed to partake in the work of the ministry since most members are generally Africans who came here for pecuniary reasons. While the love of God continues to locate His people and His mercy continues to draw them close unto Himself, we have strong reasons to glorify His name for the uncountable miracles He had wrought in the church. For the spate of three years barren women consistently got pregnant through prayers of the saints. An African-American woman who was looking for a voodoo man for exorcism ended up in our Church one Sunday morning. After the service she insisted that she will not leave the church till she was delivered. The people of God prayed for her she was instantly delivered. As the coast of the church continued to enlarge, we began to reach out to States beyond the tri-States to make the presence of the Lord felt through the Church. Our first port of call was Montgomery Alabama, followed by Atlanta Georgia and St Paul Minnesota where we had our 2008 Convention. Today there are about 63 Deeper Life Bible Churches in United States with a regional administration set up and manned by a Regional Overseer in each of the 50 States in United States.
