City Hall is a part of the city of Commerce in California. Incorporated in 1960, the city houses more than 3,300 families and over 1,800 businesses. It features a senior center, parks and libraries. The city manages transportation, finance, community development, and parks and recreation departments. The city of Commerce also administers a sports division that offers opportunities to participate in baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball and karate. The city includes the Montebello Unified School District, which serves more than 35,500 in kindergarten through grade 12. It provides crime prevention, emergency preparedness and animal control programs. The city of Commerce additionally offers licenses to retail stores, wholesalers, manufacturers, service providers, self-employed professionals and contractors.
