The department provides inspection services related to development reviews and grading and encroachment permits. The Public Works Department operates an administration division that offers overall and emergency management services. It also operates engineering and operations and maintenance divisions. The department is governed by the City of Brisbane in California. The Engineering Division implements the city s capital improvement program that includes planning, design and consultant supervision, as well as the construction contract administration of various projects. The Public Works Department additionally administers the engineering and maintenance of roadways, bridges, traffic signals and public facilities.
