City College of San Francisco - Chinatown/North Beach Center

Established in 1911, John Adams Campus is a branch of City College of San Francisco. Its building consists of classrooms and labs, an auditorium, a child care center, and offices for counseling and administrative services. It offers a variety of credit and noncredit courses and programs that include business, biological sciences, child development and family studies, consumer education, disabled students programs and services, fashion, health care technology and health science. Additionally, its curriculum includes physical education and dance, transitional studies and vocational nursing. Its library comprises more than 15,000 books, over 800 educational videotapes, audiocassettes, CD-ROMs and periodicals. John Adams Campus also has a student council that works on projects to enhance the student's experiences on campus. It is located in San Francisco.

City College of San Francisco, established in 1935, is a two-year community college in San Francisco. The college has an annual enrollment of more than 100,000 students. It confers the degrees of associate in arts and in sciences. Its semiprofessional programs provide specialized college-level training in degree and certificate curriculum. The college s programs are designed to qualify students for entry employment in various fields, such as culinary arts and hospitality studies, ornamental horticulture, graphic communications, film production, broadcasting and child development. It provides academic counseling to assist students with education and career planning and course selection. Its study center provides one-to-one tutoring in math, English, chemistry, physics, accounting, economics, psychology and foreign languages. The college offers a variety of recreational and competitive sports, such as baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming and tennis. City College of San Francisco is approved by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
