The Stanislaus County Probation Department provides juvenile detention services, juvenile intake services, juvenile and adult investigation services and probation supervision. The department s juvenile detention hall is a maximum-security facility holds minors who are detained by the juvenile court pending completion of court proceedings. It is also used as a commitment facility for minors who require a period of incarceration as part of their final disposition. The department s juvenile intake services investigate delinquent behavior and make referrals, such as counseling, probation and formal charging. The juvenile and adult investigation services provide reviews, interviews and evaluations of all relevant circumstances that are applicable to delinquent or criminal behavior. Probation supervision consists of the monitoring, controlling and assisting probationers. The Stanislaus County Probation Department is located in Modesto, Calif.
