History
A member of Oneonta Congregational Church, South Pasadena, who had been a spiritual care volunteer for a hospice, came to realize that there is a need for and a benefit to be gained from spiritual care but that it is not generally available to people unless they are either church members or patients of a hospital or hospice. He asked the church to sponsor this program to serve those people without requiring them to attend, much less join, the church. The church agreed to do so at no cost to those who are served..
Specialties
Free Christian spiritual care for those who are unable to or do not wish to attend a church. Here is what we mean by Christian spiritual care: * We will meet with you in the name of Christ in a public place near your home or place of work. * We will listen to you. * If you wish, we will pray with you or for you and will help you learn how to pray. * If you wish, we will help you find what the Bible says about questions or problems which concern you. * We will continue our meetings if we mutually agree that they may be fruitful.
