Christian Encounter Ministries

Since 1975, Christian Encounter Ministries is a nonprofit organization and cooperates with local churches and Christian colleges to offer internships. It provides physical, emotional, academic and spiritual support services for youths who are the victims of sexual and drug abuse, child abduction, alcoholism, multiple parent combinations, abandonment, gang violence and educational deficiencies. The organization provides ministry training internships for 21-year-old individuals and helps in developing personal skills. Christian Encounter Ministries features a more than 80-acre ranch and conducts a residential program for youths between the ages of 16 and 25. It offers counseling, social interaction and interpersonal communication services. The organization is approved by the State of California and funded by government agencies. Christian Encounter Ministries is located in Grass Valley, Calif.
