Children's Community Center is a parent participation, cooperative preschool - the oldest cooperative preschool west of the Mississippi. We have a year-round, play-based, developmental program, directed and managed by parents in cooperation with a professional teaching staff. Since 1927, successive generations of parents have contributed their time, energy and love to maintain this healthy place for children to learn and grow. Browse through our philosophy, our interesting history, and our programs. If you are interested in applying, you must have a tour of the school first. Call us to ask questions or schedule a tour. CCC's very own alumna and Front Yard teacher, Allyssa Lamb, has been named the City of Berkeley's Early Childhood Educator of the Year! We are so proud of her -- and of all our teachers -- for the love, care and creativity they give to our children every day. CONGRATULATIONS!
