Children's Aids Art Programme
The Children's AIDS Art Programme (CAAP) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing art therapy to children suffering from illness or abuse. Through their therapeutic art classes, CAAP aims to alleviate the suffering and emotional distress of these children, while also developing their motor and visual skills. In addition to working with children, CAAP has expanded their initiatives to include art therapy classes for adults at the Respite Center, and they have plans to further expand to the Desmond Tutu Youth Center in 2014.
CAAP's mission is to provide a positive outlet for children and adults affected by HIV and other diseases, allowing them to express themselves and find hope through art. By organizing trips to art galleries and offering workshops, CAAP exposes these individuals to new experiences and environments, refreshing their minds and sparking creativity. With a dedicated team of art instructors and volunteers, CAAP continues to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
