Chatom Vineyards, located in the picturesque Esmeralda Valley of the Sierra Foothills in Calaveras County, was established by Gay Callan in 1980 with a vision to create a thriving vineyard. Originally planting 21 acres of Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc in 1981, the vineyard has since expanded to include 13 varietals across 65 acres, featuring a diverse selection such as Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and various Portuguese varieties.

Celebrating over four decades of estate-grown fruit, Chatom Vineyards is recognized for its award-winning wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The vineyard continues to flourish, providing a rich and varied wine experience in the heart of California's wine country.
