The Chateau Marmont was built as the first deluxe high-rise apartment complex on Sunset Boulevard, opening its doors in February of 1929. Not quite the grand dame that it used to be back in the early 90s when Johnny and River and Charlie and Heidi (and Jack N. and Bob E. sometimes) made it more of a kick. But it still remains a home...
