Opened in 1965, Cerro Villa Middle School is one of several middle schools that are part of the Orange Unified School District. The middle school serves more than 1,000 students in grades seven and eight each year. The school s academic subjects include art, computer applications, English, history, home economics, industrial arts, mathematics, music, physical education, reading and science. The middle school s language arts program includes lessons in speech, drama and photojournalism. In addition, Cerro Villa Middle School provides classes in French, German, Spanish, Latin and Japanese languages. Its sports programs include football, soccer, volleyball, cross country, basketball and softball.
