Established in 1875, the Centralia Elementary School District enrolls more than 5,000 students in nine elementary schools. The district s schools provide a curriculum of language arts, reading, writing, mathematics, science, history, geography, social science and physical education. It also offers health and visual and performing arts programs. The Centralia Elementary School District operates several departments, including human resources, maintenance and operations, technology, transportation, and business and administrative services. It also administers a variety of character, ethics, music, antidrug education and child care programs. The district s health services program features vision and hearing screenings, as well as psychological and audiological services.
