Central Elementary School

Central Elementary School provides classes from prekindergarten through grade five, and enrolls more than 550 students. The school operates under the Central School District, and is located in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Its curriculum includes accelerated reading program, English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education and arts. The school provides Book Adventure, which is a reading motivation program and children create their own book lists from over 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books read, and earn points and prizes. The school has a parent-teacher organization to support the work of the school system. It has a library media center, and also provides counseling, and meal and transportation services. Central School District serves more than 5,000 students, and the basic district program is complemented by compensatory education, school-based coordinated programs, and a master plan for special education.
