Cavernous Angioma

Dr. Jacinda Sampson received her MD and a PhD in biochemistry from University of Alabama at Birmingham, and completed her neurology residency and neurogenetics fellowship at the University of Utah. She served at Columbia University Medical Center prior to joining Stanford University Medical Center in 2015. Her areas of interest include myotonic dystrophies, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and neurogenetic disorders such as neurofibromatosis, hereditary spastic paraparesis, spinocerebellar ataxia, among others. She is interested in clinical trials for treatment of neurogenetic disorders, and in the clinical application of next-generation genomic sequencing to genetic testing.

Dr. Sarah A. Stone is a board certified anesthesiologist. Dr. Stone is from Chicago, IL and graduated from the Chicago Medical School. She went on to complete internship, anesthesia residency and fellowship (neuroanesthesia) at Stanford. Dr. Stone is part of the Division of Neuroanesthesia and enjoys complex neurovascular surgery, designing and managing the neuroanesthesia website, and managing the curriculum for the neuro 1 rotation.

Atman Desai, MD, FAANS, FACS, is a Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of Neurosurgical Spine Oncology at Stanford University. Dr. Desai received his medical degree from the University of Cambridge. He completed his residency in Neurological Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and completed a further fellowship in Spinal Oncology and Complex Spinal Reconstruction at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His clinical practice focuses on the surgical treatment of spine and spinal cord tumors. His research interests include the study and development of artificial intelligence and augmented reality in spine surgery, and the use of smartphone and wearable technology to accurately measure spine health.
