I was at Castle Airport last month to meet a customer doing work in a restricted area. Castle Airport used to be Castle AFB. It was closed in 1995 as part of BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure)....

NEVER come to a concert at this location. Waited for OVER 3 HOURS to get INTO the Luke Bryan concert and then had 5 songs before we are sitting in traffic again NOT MOVING. and we cannot get out!!!

The hookups were full however I did park on the dry camping grass area and it is open and spacious and very quiet. I would come back here if I'm in the area again.

This review is for the airport and not the Castle Air Museum which is located on the old base, next to the airport.. Castle (KMER) is huge. It's an easy fly-in and fly-out and the Air Traffic...

Wish they would turn it into an international airport sure would bring a lot of jobs to this area that is much needed
