Castelar Elementary offers a range of academic and enrichment programs. The school enrolls more than 700 students in kindergarten through grade five. It has been in operation since 1882 and provides transportation services. The school employs a staff of over 35 people and operates special education programs. Castelar Elementary offers classes in foreign language, English, physical education, art and computer science. The school also provides lessons in science, music, mathematics, and industrial, health, environmental and business education.
